The Business Process Security group headed by Dr. Rafael Accorsi investigates architectures and mechanisms for the enforcement and auditing of security as well as data protection policies in distributed systems.

The group addresses three research areas:

1. Static and the dynamic analysis of business processes.
2. Post-execution identification of policy violations during audits.
3. Simulation and analysis tools for the evaluation of business process executions under industrial conditions.
