Getting here by train

Deutsche Bahn: The institute is located within a five-minute's walk from the central station. Straight out of the main exit along the Eisenbahnstraße, then turn left on the third possibility into the Colombistraße. Walk on and turn right on the second possibility into the Friedrichstraße.

Getting here by car

You approach Freiburg on the motorway A5, coming from Basel or Karlsruhe. Take the exit "Freiburg-Mitte" and drive to the central station ("Hauptbahnhof"). There, turn right on the next junction into the Friedrichstraße.

Getting here by plane

• Euroairport (Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg): Threre is a shuttle bus leaving about every 90 minutes. The journey takes about one hour. Further information: "Freiburger Reisedienst - Airport Bus".
• Frankfurt Airport: Fast train to Freiburg about once an hour. Journey time is about 2 hours (see Deutsche Bahn).
• Baden-Airpark (Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden): Shuttle bus to station, from there take a fast train to Freiburg. Train leaving about once an hour. Journey time is about 1h 40 (see Deutsche Bahn).
• Getting here by own plane: City Airport Freiburg: Taxi or public transport to the city centre (see Freiburger Verkehrs AG (VAG).
