Commercial Applications of Ubiquitous-Computing Technologies
Project: Avalanche: Agent based value chain experiment
Project description
Autonomous software agents will operate on electronic marketplaces, which are scattered in open networks, and actively trading on behalf of its user in the future. The complexity of this task makes it necessary to use decentralized coordination mechanisms that are adapted to the structure of these networks. AVALANCHE imagined such a coordination approach by modeling local codes and adopting competitive conduct of the parties and implemented it in an economic context, opportunities to show how business processes by autonomous, individualistic software agents can be coordinated locally.
