Security and Privacy

The project ATUS (A Toolkit for Usable Security) creates a user friendly interface for security functions based on Human Computer Interaction (HCI), which will lead to a general acceptance by end users thanks to easy to use interaction, as well as sufficient configuration flexibility. This is the concept of a modular construction kit consisting of artifacts, such as a digital "signer", for multilateral secure communication services. Through simulation studies required functionalities are determined and by early systematic target group surveys acceptance of the designed user interface is evaluated.
