Security and Privacy

The technical mediation of personal and business communication brings storage and processing of sensitive personal data with it. In terms of organization and system complexity, the implementation of government regulations often results in unsatisfactory handling of privacy protection or refraining from electronic information processing in general. A lasting solution requires active participation of the users concerned. Based on an analysis of the security requirements on handling sensitive applications in the hospital, basic security mechanisms, the minimum legal requirements to force part of a distributed document were archived in the prototype SaferCom. Additionally the user gets the choice to meet personal security needs appropriate to the context.
